Diploma in Nautical Science is an Indian Maritime University (IMU) affiliated Pre-Sea Training program, certified by DG Shipping, This 1 year course of Pre-Sea Training divided into 2 semesters, each of 6 months.
B.Sc, in Nautical Science is a three-year undergraduate program, approved by the DG Shipping, Ministry of Shipping (Government of India). After completing this course, the student can join a ship as a cadet.
B.Tech. in Marine Engineering is a 4-year degree course that leads to a Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency awarded by the Ministry of Shipping (Government of India). This is a fully residential course comprising 8 semesters and includes training in Ship-in-Campus during the 7th semester. This course begins in August every year.
IMU-CET is an entrance exam conducted by the Indian Maritime University for admission into UG and PG maritime courses across its campuses and affiliated institutes.
